Opening presents in our pyjamas, the smell of new toys, new Barbie dolls, the table piled high with food and crackers and decorations, the lovely old fashioned toys on the Christmas tree, my brother drunkenly harmonising at the back of Church in Midnight Mass

The worst Christmas song ever is... Santa Claus is comin' to town - awful awful awful!!!

I realised Santa was not real when... I can't remember. My brother's children have a tradition where the elves come the night before Christmas Eve and always leave new pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers outside the children's doors... they have to be in bed by a certain time and then the doors are closed. My brother and his wife then rattle the windows and sprinkle glitter footprints across the landing, and the windows are left open in the morning so the kids know how the elves got out again
