| Putting Fourayes to the fore An apple a day keeps the press interested. We’ve been working with Fourayes Farm for the past several months, and since then we’ve managed to build great relationships with both trade and regional journalists to ensure wider coverage of Fourayes in the press. January kicked everything off to a very busy start with Bramley Apple Week. The interviews we conducted with members of staff regarding their favourite apple dessert resulted in two pieces of regional coverage. The following month, we issued a comment to the trade press on The Gangmasters (Licensing) Act which resulted in an opinion piece within the leading trade publication The Grocer. In March we issued a press release on lean manufacturing, which resulted in great coverage in both Manufacturing Today Europe, and The Manufacturer. Following that, in April we issued a timely press release on ‘beating the drought’ which gained coverage in The East Kent Gazette. In May, Fourayes’ staff took part in the ‘Race for Life’ charity event, and the team featured in both The Kent Messenger and The East Kent Gazette. Later that month, we helped Fourayes celebrate apple blossom time at the farm. We took some excellent photography and sent a cover story to the press which The Kent Messenger published word for word. Excellent result! In June, Fourayes hosted their summer ball which gained coverage in both The Grocer and Kent Life. Still to come on this busy account, we’ve confirmed a feature called ‘Me and My Factory’ for Fourayes Managing Director Philip Acock in the prominent trade magazine Food Manufacturer. Better still, Philip will have a cover shot. |
